Join Clinical Psychologists, parents of gifted young adults, and giftedness specialists, Drs. Gail Post and Heidi Lack, along with a Zoom room full of parents for our Fall (Beyond the Basics) workshop series starting 10/4/23.
Most likely, you have already started on your gifted parenting journey and have read/listened to/learned a lot about giftedness.
This workshop series goes beyond the basics to explore the complexity of this unique parenting experience.
Join us if you would like to:
Gain greater clarity and confidence when faced with parenting decisions
Tap into your own internal wisdom through self-reflection and gain a deeper appreciation of your needs as a parent
Find an interactive, educational, and supportive place to discuss parenting concerns (although not a therapy group)

What you can expect:
Four 90-minute biweekly Zoom meetings filled with engaged parents, eager to learn and share
Meetings facilitated by Drs. Heidi and Gail, who are highly seasoned clinicians
Two bonus 60-minute optional Zoom meetings following the series
Worksheets and/or prompt questions for self-reflection between meetings
Membership in The Gifted Parenting Journey Community (GPJC), which includes:

o Access to monthly check-ins for continuity and support (the first two of which are included in the sign-up fee)

Meet Workshop Leaders Dr. Gail Post and Dr. Heidi Lack
Gail Post, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist, in practice for over 35 years, with a specialty in intellectual and musical giftedness and twice-exceptionalities. She also is a parenting coach/consultant, workshop leader, writer, and Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Post is the parent of two gifted young adults and served as co-chair of a gifted parents advocacy group. Her writing includes hundreds of articles, several book chapters, a long-standing blog, Gifted Challenges. and her new book, The Gifted Parenting Journey: A Guide to Self-discovery and Support for Families of Gifted Children, which extends her advocacy efforts. Heidi Lack, Ph.D. ATR-BC is a seasoned Clinical Psychologist and board certified registered Art Therapist, with varied training, work, and supervisory experience in Behavioral Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Dept. of Psychiatry; as a Senior clinician at the Hallowell Centers; as adjunct faculty at Lesley University; currently in private clinical, coaching and consultation practice. She runs "Intentional Parenting" support groups, SoulCollage® and ethical values character trait- based workshops, and is trained as a SENG SMPG parent group facilitator. Dr. Lack is also a multimedia artist, intermittent writer/poet, and parent whose multiexceptional young adults required creative schooling variations. See www.DrHeidiLack.com
